We hear it everywhere, but the question isn’t just “What is it?”—it’s “How is AI actually changing my life?”

Those massive data centers required to power our “quick questions” are often built in the backyards of Black and Brown communities, like in Memphis, Tennessee. This leads to air pollution and local electricity spikes—some families are seeing bills as high as $250 a month.
