Crushes, we all have them but have you married your crush?
In this episode, Morgane chats with Keda about having a secret crush on her now wife. This crush grew into a friendship a relationship and now marriage.
Morgane shakes her curls at quitters after seeing an opening act. Though the performer was pretty terrible, Morgane admired her resilience to live out her dream.
Morgane gushes about her Grammy party and the mocktails she created during the party. (See below for Morgane’s spread.) She chews on corn dogs in the What You Chewin’ segment.
Here are the key takeaways from the Main Event with Keda:
Keda is a graduate of Wilberforce University where she met and developed a crush on her now-wife. As a Comm major, her creativity shines throughout her professional and personal life. She admitted she had a secret crush on her wife but never acted on it. The two remained friends and eventually worked together. Soon Keda and her wife moved forward as a couple.
Keda’s coming out wasn’t too challenging. Her friends and family quickly accepted the couple with no issues. Her friends couldn’t deny how happy she was and how romantic her wife treated Keda. For example, while Keda was on a cruise, her girlfriend at the time prepared daily gifts to surprise Keda.
Just nine months after dating, Keda was engaged. The two practiced Love University to evaluate their relationship and sharpen their relationship. During the proposal, the two completed another exercise within their Love University “courses” which solidified the two’s commitment to each other.
What’s Love University?
The couple would rate their communication skills or complete different scenarios to track progress in their relationship. The couple also came up with “conversation starters, A-Z” to strengthen their communications. Since the two met at a university, everything is themed by a university.
Currently, though the couple is legally married, they are planning their dream destination wedding in April 2023.
